Who Is Metta World Peace???

The sports-ignorant fans of "Dancing With The Stars" may be forgiven if they were a bit confused after the first elimination Tuesday night.

The night before, they had watched a lackluster cha cha by a Los Angles Laker dressed in a glittery brown outfit with a fedora. The announcer clearly stated he was "dancing as Ron Artest."

Then, Tuesday night, the dancer known as Metta World Peace was eliminated.

Unless you know that the 31-year-old Artest recently changed his legal name to Metta World Peace, you might have thought you'd missed a Monday night performance.

There was a clue, however. When he took off his hat, the dancer billed as Artest had Metta World Peace shaven onto his head.

World Peace and his partner, "DWTS" rookie Peta Murgatroyd, got the lowest score from the judges Monday night, leading to their ouster the next night.
