Verdrun Corluka is tipping Luka Modric to quit Spurs this summer.
Modric has been linked with interest from Manchester United but his club and international team-mate Corluka says the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League will affect Modric’s decision on his future.
“We all know it will be very difficult for Spurs to keep Luka because they do not have Champions League football next season,” Corluka told The Sun in comments made before the sacking of manager Harry Redknapp.
“Luka is one of the best players in the world and the kind who wants to play in the best competition.
“Not getting into the Champions League will cost Spurs next season, even though they were unlucky to get fourth place and still not be there.”
Manchester United have been linked with a possible £25million bid for Modric, who is rated at over £30million by Tottenham.
